You probably didn't need to uninstall. FS9 will simply rebuild a new FS9.cfg whenever you start it up again.

This information is kept in the FS9.cfg file which is not erased if you
uninstall.
You could simply backup/rename this file start FS9 and it will build a new
one.

I finally got the brakes to work right. Thanks a lot I really appreciate
your help.

I found the file FS9.cfg and deleted it. Then I uninstalled FS-2004. I
reloaded the program once again and now everything seems to work fine.
