I'm curious, where/how are you connecting your iPAQ to the LX?

My glider came with the LX7000 installed so I'm not well versed in the
details, but it has a round 5-pin connector mounted in the panel that
the proprietary LX serial cable connects to for connection to PCs, and
it also has a device behind the panel that provides the interface to my
iPAQ (running WinPilot Pro). The latter connection runs at 4800 baud
and cannot (as far as I know) be changed, but the panel connection uses
the speed specified in the LX7000's menu system, and for that I use
38400 baud.

Curiously, I can use ConnectMe (or ConnectLX, the same program except
with fewer "device" choices) on the iPAQ across the internal 4800-baud
connection but I still have to go to select TRANSFER in the LX7000 for
it to work.

Just last weekend I got ConnectMe talking to the LX5000 in my glider
using the panel mounted round 5-ping serial cable. I connected that to
an iPAQ serial cable and it all "just worked" after I selected Transfer
on the LX5000.
