You're stuck overnight in Denver and you don't call? You don't
write? Shucks...I coulda put you and the family up for the night...

Dang, Blanche, I wasn't even thinking. :-)

All I remember is that horrible sinking feeling of resignation, as they
announced that our flight was cancelled -- and there were no more flights
heading to the Chicago area for the night. From that point on it was just
"let's find a hotel and crash" -- without regard for anything else.

For that matter, I've got cousins in Denver that I could've called. (Of
course, the airport appears to be a zillion miles from Denver itself...)
