That's easy -- supply and demand.
In Wisconsin, Iowa, and the rest of the midwest -- they don't have a
butt load of people all crammed into a tiny area. You stick that many
people all in the same area with a higher demand and the oil companies
can get away with charging more.
Of course, it could also have something to do with the mountain-high
stack of silly regulations Cal sticks on all refineries and the
machines that use their gas......
