I've been looking to add this function to my simulator. I've been to
Reality's website but I'm still not sure of its capabilities.
Specifically, can the Garmin 530/430 be added to aftermarket airplanes
or only the original MSFS planes? Thanks.

There are two ways to buy this add-on GPS for the sim. One method is to
purchase an add-on aircraft that is equipped with it already. However,
somehow Reality XP has locked the GPS to the add-on aircraft so you won't
be able to use it with other aircraft.

The second option is that you buy the GPS instrument outright (for roughly
the same cost as an add-on aircraft). This gives you the flexibility to
install it to any aircraft, be it an MSFS default aircraft or an add-on
aircraft. Reality XP's website has this option for purchase, whereas other
sites, such as Flight1, have the aircraft with this GPS gauge included.

BTW, Reality XP's Garmin 430/530 instrument is a front-end sim interface
for the Garmin GPS simulator (available at Garmin's site), so it has just
about every GNS430/530 feature available for the sim pilot. This makes it
an excellent training tool coupled with the sim.
