Just flew another 2.1 in our local Diamond Star with the G1000. Flew a
friend down to St. Louis area to pick up his daughter. On the way back, I
was putting a chart (the big book from AirChart Systems) down on the

floor
between my feet. I bumped the Master/Alt switch. I looked up wondering

why
the intercom died & saw 2 dark screens. Poo.
It was a beautiful (hot) day, so no problem. I turn the master back on

and
in a few seconds I've got the primary display back. Radios & Nav, but no

GPS
signal, and we're right under the shelf of St. Louis class B.

GPS can take some time to lock (typically 1minute with modern
receivers). How long did you wait?

We flew for over 15 minutes that way. Pretty weird. I didn't get a chance to
look it up when we got back.
Tell ya what, though. Even in flight, it only took about 30 seconds (rough
estimate) before I had the AHRS back online with Comm & Nav.
