Could be Skip Stewart was not willing to fly for free. None of the
airshow
pilots at OSH get paid. Could also be he had a scheduling conflict.
Could
be a multitude of factors other than nepotism.


I sat with one of his (very frustrated) sponsors several times during the
week, who told me that Skip would have PAID for the privilege of performing
at OSH.

His plane was there, he was there, and he was waiting for the call. It
never came, and it sure is hard to say why.

I, for one, would have been thrilled to see his new "motorcycle jumping over
the airplane while it cuts the ribbon" trick.
