Jay,
As others have said, thanks for the North 40 party!

I just got home tonight from my 5600 mile road trip. It was worth every
mile.

Not sure if you remember me among all the other party goers, but I'm the 20
year old blonde guy building a Stits Flutterbug in California. I wish I
could have made it back up to the North 40 after Wednesday but that hike
from Scholler was a long one, and the trams always seemed to disappear when
I decided I needed one. Besides, as a first timer to Oshkosh I was always
busy running around looking at stuff and generally being amazed at how vast
it all was. I'm proud to say that I saw just about everything I wanted to
see, including a quick trip to the museum (and the Eagle Hangar Wall of
Honor to find my late father's name). This was one of the best experiences
of my life. It was truly moving and spectacular. The aircraft and airshow
were great, but experiencing the entire event and meeting others in the
aviation community were beyond words. I will be making the pilgrimage every
year from now on and wouldn't have traded this year's trip for anything in
the world.

So thanks, Jay, for the hospitality, and thanks to the entire aviation
community for demonstrating just how great a group it is. I won't be
forgetting this one for a while.

And just to make sure of that, I get to sort through 2000 digital
pictures...
