Connection Lightspeed Headset directly to Cassette.

I have what might be a slightly odd question. I want to be able to
connect a LightSpeed headset to a cassette recorder. The recorder has 2
sockets 1 for headphone, and 1 for microphone. I tried radio shack and
they had no idea how to connect the slightly small of the two
lightspeed plugs. Is this simply something that cannot be done?
The headset is a 30-3G.
Thanks. Should I post this a different newsgroup?
It's not a trivial thing to hook up the microphone plug on an aviation
headset to pieces of arbitrary consumer electronics for reasons that
I'll not go into.
However, since you have a LIGHTSPEED 30-3G the problem is already
solved for you. The thing came with a separate cell phone interface
plug. Take that wire down to radio snack and tell them it is a
cellphone headset and see what they can do for you. The cell phone
interface is a lot more straight forward (just a matter of getting
the mechanical hooksups right). You'll need electrical circuits
to get the regular headset mic plug to work.
