Try BATTERIES AMERICA for a replacement ... I got a 12v 1200 Ni-MH
battery pack for $45.95 - longer shelf life without too much loss.

Can anyone recommend a place to have the battery of my JRC handheld
radio O/H'd. I understand they can use Li batteries for longer life.
Robert,
I've found this: http://www.mypilotstore.com/mypilotstore/sep/2845 for a
replacement battery pack. There are probably many other places to find
replacements. There is an alkaline battery holder available that you could
put any flavor of rechargeable batteries in; just won't be able to charge
the batteries while in that pack. Try Google for JHP-500 (or 520) battery.
There is a CFQ-6132(A/B) DC adapter available that eliminates the battery
pack. Just plug into aircraft power (12-14V?).
Does anybody know where to get the JRC radio itself repaired? I bought a
JHP-500 from eBay a few years ago and the front case is broke where it holds
the battery pack. The radio works fine but I have to hold the battery pack
onto the radio to use.
