A possible hard way.

Go to Internet and a white pages site (there are a number and some
free) and look for the name in the States first where you think he
might be located.

Copy down the data of each individual you find who matches his name
and their phone number.

Use your cell phone at night and week ends when you get free calling
and start calling the individuals.

With some luck you may find the guy.

I've used this technique in my genealogy searching with good success.
