I had the same problem and just cut out a new face from sheet
plexy/polycarb the same thickness. Belt sander or grinder to round the
corners...Easy, quick, cheap, looks fine and works good. Make sure you
don't take the whole instrument apart to get the face off. It comes
off the front without even having to remove the unit from the panel.
At least mine did.
