I agree. It was always strange that when you call the FSDO with
questions they would grab the FAQ but then always had the out that it
wasn't "official". It was the ultimate in CYI. When you ask a question
they refer you to the FAQ but if it later comes out a way they don't
like they can just say it wasn't "official". Too many desk jockies
playing games. I never did understand why I must pay a service for the
Chief Council opinions when congress says tax payers own this
information.
