I know for a fact it is real. The 'buy the naming
rights for $0.5 million' part definitely gives the
whole project a certain 'snake oil' feel, but these
are real engines, and he's convinced he can fly it.

I ran some quick calculations on it. He's about 80%
on the right track. That leaves him only 20% dead
when he crashes.

Actually, he'll probably never get it throttled up
enough to crash bad before it tips him forward off
his feet.

Gotta' give him credit for trying, though. He's got
about $50K tied up in this. With a fair amount of
tweaking, it can work.
