What did this?

Looks like he may have given it forward cyclic thinking he was still fully
airborne and the skid snagged and caused the forward rock. He then over
reacted with rearward cyclic, etc.

I'm surprised he pulled out of it in the end with out either a boom or a
tip strike.

My bet is that he is low time helo transitioning from fixed wing. What do
you do with a fixed wing, once you have it on the ground, to keep it
planted? Push forward on the stick thingie. Only problem is, he was not in
his bugsmasher-172.

That is my guess, anyway! g
