Default The treadmill is irrelavant people

The treadmill is irrelevant; it is the relative wind that matters.
Whether you are standing on solid ground or on a treadmill, if you have
enough of a head wind, you will be airborne period.

Doesn't the physics change if the treadmill has a Belfort instruments
weather station standing next to it??? (sorry, couldn't resist)... If
Belfort has a booth at Oshkosh, I'm definitely going to visit it this
year (unfortunately I will then be proving the "there is no such thing
as bad publicity" saying)

Seriously, it is disturbing how few people in the general public can
figure out that the treadmill is irrelevant to the takeoff of the plane
(unless you turn the plane around backwards, park the plane, and use
the treadmill to build airspeed. Makes you wonder about the quality of
science & math education in the US.
