The Themi does not have any input for glider type or airspeed. It uses GPS
data and pressure altitude only for the thermal centering calculations.
Many reports suggest that it works very well.

One more question for Themi users: How does Themi figure out total
energy gain/loss, so that it doesn't think a stick thermal is the
center? Do you have to input glider type so it has a polar to work
with (i.e electronic TE)?
Otherwise I see a big problem pulling up from fast cruise into a gust
"fooler" - lots of altitude gain but big loss of energy, and not where
I want to go again!
