You could always take a local instructor with you.

I've found that on short stays away from home, it's often cheaper and
easier just to take a local CFI along, rather than satisfying the FBO
rental checkout requirements. The CFI will usually sign still you off
after the trip, satisfying the checkout for the near future.

Just a thought...
