Been there, done that, still got the ASA t-shirts!

Now I'm TDY to flyover country trying to kickstart some slacker
gliderpilots in the St Louis area to start logging OLC points.

Uphill struggle so far, but the potential is there (posted some OLC
flights this weekend).

Odd for a desert rat to look out and see wet fields, snow in the
ditches, and hit 10 knots at cloudbase!
