Default Plan our camping trip!

Another recommendation for Cedar Point and the Islands...

Sandusky is a great place to get to the Cedar Point amusement park. The
Sandusky airport (SKY) can provide shuttle service to the amusement
park. Be aware that the crowds can be large in the middle of the
Summer, but there is nowhere else with this many good roller coasters.

SKY is a privately owned, professionally run small airport. They are
well used to dealing with visitors. Plan on a full day at Cedar
Point and possibly back again to the park in the evening. It's only a
few minute taxi ride.

Another choice PCW, Port Clinton, about 11nm west of Cedar Point.

It is a very short flight out to the islands from Sandusky (probably 15
min in the air).

Probably more like 15-20 mins eng start SKY to eng stop @
Put-in-bay, South Bass Is.

and Pelee Island Canada is within a few more minutes. FYI, if you
just want to overfly Pelee IS, (so you can say you went to
Canada)`call Cleveland Approach on 126.35. Most of Pelee IS is
actually in Cleveland's airspace.

BTW, lemme know if you get up this way before we get out your
way...I'll buy ya lunch at the diner at SKY or somethin'
