What a great idea for an odyssey (sorry, couldn't resist). Seriously,
great idea. Definitely check out KHSE (Billy Mitchell Airport in
Hatteras, NC) and KMQI (Dare County Regional in Manteo, NC). Plenty of
beautiful, historic lighthouses in between, including the Cape Hatteras
lighthouse, which was moved 2,900 feet inland, in a massive engineering
project, to prevent it falling into the sea due to erosion (take a look
at the National Park Service site on this:
