Default User opinion needed: Blue mountain avionics EFIS

One our builders put in an early version of the Efis 1. Many, many
problems. We had another customer hire a professional avionics shop do
his whole panel for $30,000. That was probably cheaper than the time,
trouble and money invested doing it the amateur way. Some people have
had better results, others are similar to ours. Check their builder's
forum and find some other discussion groups. Definely look at other
alternatives at Oshkosh before plunking down the big bucks. 'Nuf said.

Hi there,

We intend to invest into a glass panel system for a Jabiru 400...

I haven't found alot of information about Blue Mountain Avionics Systems
or other similar devices.

I've read a lot, but no hands on. This would be a really good time to
make SnF, but by the looks of your address that might be a bit of a
trip.

Although pricey compared to steam gages, they are considerably less
than the certified stuff. From what I've seen of the functionality
and lay out I like it. Unless something changes my mind I'm planning
on using it in my G-III. I think for something like $2,000 they will
even send out an engineer for a couple of days to make sure things are
right, but that is probably US only.
