Interesting stuff. The rear fuselage does look more rounded than the
201/301. Which is good: otherwise I can't imagine a worse candidate for
an add-on T-tail. The 201s, especially, were infamous for breaking in
ground loops. I still remember seeing a 301 (Rudy Allemann's?) in the
1981 U.S. 15M Nats at Minden, NV with external longerons glassed to the
rear fuselage. I don't know if they were temporary or if the pilot was
just tired of taking the ship into the repair shop.
