Visit a couple of smaller airports in your area. Look for what is
usually called the FBO or general aviation terminal. Inquire at three
or four places and see if one feels comfortable to you. Chances are one
or two won't click with you, but hopefully one will. Same thing with
flight instructors. You need to find one that fits your personality and
this may require trying out more than one.
