Default Will it fit in a 172?

Maybe. You should remove the front and rear tires and turn
the bars to parallel the frame. It should be possible to
put it in using the main doors. The baggage door may be too
small. Secure it with a seat belt.

It will not fit through the baggage door.
You will have to put it in through the main doors. If you want it in the
baggage compartent, fold the back seat forward if possible. You may have
to remove the seat. Otherwise, plan on the frame residing on the back
seat.
