So, tomorrow morning, at 0-dark-thirty, my 15-year-old son and I are
blasting off for "Up North" -- in this case, Madeline Island, just
off-shore in Lake Superior. Atlas is loaded to the gunwales with bikes,
tents, coolers, food -- you name it. We've got two days.
