Sex is a natural, beautiful thing, without which the human race (as well
as pretty much every other breathing species on this planet) would not
continue to exist.

Childbirth.
Childbirth is frequently performed in medical centers that are equally as
open to the public as a strip club. There are equally as many television
shows about childbirth as there are HBO specials about strip clubs. And
they generally include much more detail of the human body than the latter.
But I have yet to hear anyone complain about that form of "pornography".
Breast feeding (although some are more public than others).
Breast feeding is frequently done in public. And I have personally heard
people actually be admonished for suggesting that the mother should "go do
that in private".
Defecation.
You consider defecation to be a beautiful thing? No wonder you are so
afraid of your sexual desires being publicized!
Oh, and while human defecation is mostly done in private, I frequently
observe humans walking their dogs in the public streets. So certainly the
ACT of defecation is not what need be private, but rather something
specific only to HUMAN defecation that is so embarrassing as to be
private.
It seems to me that you are embarrassed by the human body itself. And if
you're happy with that, that is certainly your perogative.
But you are so embarrassed by it that you consider it embarrassing to
expose childbirth and breastfeeding to the public eye. Not because those
acts are themselves embarrassing, but because it is "trumped" by the
possibility that a "private part" of the human body might be exposed. And
that is sad.
I really don't have issue with any of it personally. I believe in live and
let live - if you want to be embarrassed, go right ahead.
In fact, you might be surprised to know that I do believe that there are
certain limits to sex in public. For example, I would probably be annoyed
if I was walking down the street and saw two people having sex on a bench
on the sidewalk. Especially if I had my children with me.
But that is *quite* a different then trying to say that a clearly marked
strip club is a public display of sex and is "wrong".
