Just make certain you are not on a prefiled instrument flight plan so
you cannot be tracked by flightaware or flightexplorer.

If you have a squawk code, they will track you. Makes no difference
if you are IFR, VFR, or have a prefiled flight plan. Using whatever San
Jose International Airport's web pages pointed to at the time (I think it
was FlightAware), I once reviewed a flight where I transited Norcal
Approach's airspace VFR, including a clearance through the SFO B. I was
able to track my flight from just south of Hollister almost to its
destination, Santa Rosa. My entire flight was VFR from DAG to STS and I
requested radar services and received a squawk code shortly after takeoff
from DAG when I got into Joshua Approach's radar coverage range.
