Yes, you would have trouble flying your own glider "out of compliance"
but flying the gliders from the Gliding centers was not a problem for
me. When I went flying in "their" gliders there was no problem. Of
course I was using their insurance at the time. Of course I paid a
small "premium" for an insurance rider, I think it was less than 10€
a day.
