In some states (MA? NJ?) it is an issue. The police won't let you take
off, they make you truck it out. (or you can sneak out when nobody's
looking)

It all depends on the local sheriff.. and the local area... taking off from
a busy downtown (all of east coast is busy down town) freeway.. not gonna
happen.. light poles.. overhead wires...

out west... why not..
