Lots of chatter about Garmin's, but no one talks about the Chelton
avionics. Looking at TAP recently it seems the prices are very close to
the same for similarly equipped panels. I understand that Garmin appears to
be cheaper to piece meal together and that the Chelton appears to be an
all or nothing solution, but other than that what am I missing? Why don't
I see more Chelton in the discussion groups?

Are yoy talking about the G1000 are the new G900x & G600. If you are talking
about the G1000 then the reason is that they are in planes from the factory
and there are a lot more of them. As far as the G900x & G600 I haven't seen
much talk about them at all.

The G600 seems like it is competing with Chelton but the G900 is like the
G1000 in that it has the com/nav/xponder/gps... Of course the G900 is
uncertified so it is only available for experimentals.

What are the associated costs?
The G900 is $60,000.
The G600 is $30,000.

How much do the Chelton units cost?
