Default DC Bose test - Update..

Fab phone.. RIM REALLY raised the barr with this one!

...and the BES version 5 server.... AWSOME!

I just plug the Dave Clark "Cell cable" into the Pearl (the one with
the 3 contacts on the plug), plug the other end into the DC X-!!'s,
and it works like a charm!

Push the "Voice Command" button, tell it who you want to call, it does
the rest...

I do not know of any way to hook it to the audio panel.

I think one could connect the audio from the earphone to the Audio
Panel "in", and use the mic on the Pearl, but I have not tried it...
The receive audio would now go to all Pax unless you have an "Isolate"
option.

Just got the pearl myself.. It is the best phone I have owned...
How do you interface it to your audio panel or other input to your aircraft
audio ?

Thanks...

Most interesting thread.

I tried my new Bose headset today in my 182. Very comfortable - great
sound quality - but I was shocked when I turned off the system. The racket
is incredible.

I don't care about the cell interface as my Blackberry Pearl interferes
with the Com equipment anyways and I have to turn it off - and I don't
care about the music either.

But the dead box possibility means that I'll carry my old DC 13.4s with me
in my bag just in case.

I'll try again on Thursday. Maybe I'll get a pair of DCs on approval and
do a comparison test.

This is the singular reason I dumped my DC's for Bose.

It's a biggie when it matters.
