Nothing short of nuclear weapons harms the enemy
as much as troops on the ground. Are you under
the impression that D-Day is remembered because
of the interdiction missions flown? Most people
attribute its historical importance to the troops landed,
including those inserted by air.

Which brings us full-circle: The Ninth AF was led
into combat by a transport unit.
