Hi Jim,
Did you talk to Tony Chong about it at the show yesterday? He should
have some contacts at our other half in Bethpage. The other guy would
have been Craig Kaston, but I didn't see him.

Interesting shots. First thing that crept to mind was "early
competitor to the EA-6A/B". The F3D (or F-10 after 1962) was used in
the EW-role for some time by the USMC in Vietnam, under the
designation EF-10B. They retired them in 1970, around the same time
the EA-6A and B came around.

Good Morning Ron,
That's the first thing I thought...given the larger cockpit area,
this was an EW/ECM proposal. And actually the last F3D/F-10 was
retired from the Navy in 1978. Thanks for your thoughts !!!
Jim
Hello Ron,
Yep..sure did...his thoughts were along the same line, an EW/ECM
proposed variant. He didn't come up with any sources...I think it's
going to remain a unknown. I'm not too worried about it... it's just a
pretty cool model, and I'm glad to have it in my collection.
Good to see you there !
Jim
