Default Beech C-45 Expediter - Beech C-45 Expediter 2.jpg

A fellow I know (used to fly freight out of Jackson) told me some 18's were
easier to taxi than others depending on whether or not they had the high or
low tail wheel. Then of course there were the trike versions...

Unlike some other pics this is actually a real C-45. Note the "long"

stacks
and only the one trim tab on the port rudder.

If you can taxi a Beech-18 you can fly a manhole cover. I remember
three-pointing a Super-18 in Little Rock during a blizzard. Had nowhere

else
to go. Enjoyed a great breakfast at Central Flying Service (they rock...).
Returned home to find the wife had bailed out with some dude and had moved
to Roswell. Took the kids with her....

Another chapter of the freight wars....grrrrrrr.
