Default Lowrance 1000 comments

Kat,
Yes, the Lowrance 1000 is a great GPS. If you don't mind a smaller
screen, I'd suggest getting the Lowrance 600 with color display and
terrain awareness for about the same price. The 2000c also with color
and terrain but a bigger screen cost just a few hundreds more and is
one of the best value portable GPSs (if you don't need xmweather).
We have been using the 1000 for the last few years and will
definitely add a large color Lowrance with XMweather when it is
availalbe.
You may want to wait until SnF time to purchase a Lowrance unit
when vendors often offer discount even online.
