Mostly because of the smaller intake. Looking more closely I see the IFR
probe on the starboard side. It is possible that the wing incidence has
not been set yet.

The F-8 had:
- Sharper pointed radome
- Thinner intake lip
-Guns on the starboard side
-IFR probe that was covered by flush doors (not sitting in a recessed well)
-no wing pylons
-the AOA landing lights are in a different position
