I've been trying to come up with a flying/consulting idea, but still haven't
worked it out.
Do you think you would have gone on [even a few] more trips with the
family if you *did* have a Six/Saratoga? I know it's not as easy an answer
as it might seem.
Probably not. Mostly because I'm not instrument rated, so my overnight trips
are few and far between. Actually, I've only made three. First one I got
stuck by fog on Cape Cod. #2 was Oshkosh 2001. #2 was the day after I
returned from Oshkosh. My wife and kids had flown commercially to Chicago
and driven from there. I left on Friday morning, but their return fliught
wasn't until Sunday. I spent Saturday night in New Hampshire visiting my
sister and her family.
99% of my flying is done solo.
