The alternative to that aircraft going to Intrepid was more likely
the scrapyard, thats where most went after all.

Actually, the FACT is, NOT 1 of the Blackbird Aircraft went to any
scrapyard...NOT ONE!!! Believe me, everyone of these aircraft were sought
after by numerous museums.
