air show are hosting two volunteer rallies Thursday, March 29 and

March 31 at the Rickenbacker Charter Terminal. Staff will be on hand to
answer questions and give presentations about volunteer opportunities.
Several hundred volunteers, age 18 and older, are needed to staff a
variety
of positions including ticketing, parking and concessions. Civic groups
looking for fundraising opportunities are also encouraged to sign up at
these rallies. Those who are unable to attend either rally may sign up

selected to assist with the event will enjoy free attendance to the show
and
enjoy being part of a truly historic event.

The Gathering of Mustangs & Legends, to be hosted at Rickenbacker
International Airport

September 27 - 30, will provide the opportunity to share the history of
the
P-51 Mustang aircraft and honor the heroes of World War II. The Mustang
played a major role in the Allied campaign to achieve air supremacy in
Europe during World War II leading to a successful ground-forces invasion
and the defeat of Germany. The Gathering will bring together an estimated
100 beautifully restored P-51 aircraft with 51 of the legends, heroes and
aces forever connected to these aircraft. At the event the skies will be
filled with the P-51 aircraft in addition to other World War II fighters
and
bombers, civilian airshow performers and the Air Force Thunderbirds.

When: Thursday, March 29 from 3 p.m. * 6 p.m., open-house format

Saturday, March 31 from 9 a.m. * noon, open-house format

Whe Rickenbacker Charter Terminal

From I-270, take the Alum Creek exit (#49). Head south on Alum Creek
Drive
for approximately 3.5 miles and follow signs to the Charter Terminal.


18 and older? Most CAP cadets and Boy Scouts are more mature than the
average 18 year old.
