Default Aviation Beer

If you ever get off your ass and fly somewhere good instead of one flat
land airport after another you can fly to this place. He doesn't update
his website hardly ever but his beer can be found around here plus he's
an airplane nut.

Look on his pictures page for views of his strip.

Okay, since no one seems to be flying much, we might as well talk
about something truly important...like beer.

Mary just picked up a 6-pack of "Major Tom's Pomegranate Wheat" ale
from the store. Why?

Well, because it has a biplane on the container, of course! (Gotta
love her taste in beer... ;-) It appears to be a Stearman, but the
cockpit has a turtle-deck, so that's not quite right...

But I digress.

As I'm sitting her supping it (and it's quite good, actually, although
I'm not sure that "pomegranate juice" has any business in beer), I
started to think about all the "aviation beers" I've imbibed over the
years.

For some strange reason, brewers -- especially microbrewers -- seem to
be enamored with aviation. Can you name any of your local "aviation
ales"?

Better yet, can you bring any of them to the "Rec.Aviation H.O.P.S.
Party" at our campsite during Oshkosh, for all to enjoy?

:-)
