Just be aware that the "new" rudder pedals for the AD have a plastic
sleeve that is slightly smaller in diameter than the old one, so the cable
may not slide through it easily when adjusting the pedals, and may pull
the sleeve out of the "S" tubing.

Thanks for the tip. I've got to believe it's safer to leave the existing
bits in place than go monkeying about installing new pedals and cables. How
hard do you have to stomp on the pedals to crack them, anyway? I suspect I
could beat the old pedals with a hammer for a few hours with no ill effect.
