It was our first time back to Racine for the parade in ten years, and
I'm really glad to see that they still pull it together each year. (I
can't imagine the amount of work that goes into it.) We then enjoyed
a spectacular fireworks display over Lake Michigan, from the deck of a
friend's boat in the harbor. VERY cool, indeed.

We even have a spectacular fireworks display, in little 'ole Lenoir, NC.
The former city manager's brother was a certified fireworks person, whatever
that title is called. His company puts on a nearly nonstop 35 to 40 minute
display, with a minimum of 3 or 4 shells in the air most of the time.
