AM 1000 for a year, now 2 yrs with the AM 2000C.
Lost sats one time only, with the yoke turned all the way to the
right, on a X-wind taxi along a 3300 ft rny, internal antenna only
(duh)...
The external ant is in the pouch if needed, but we have never plugged
it in except to test it.
..NONE of the Garmin problems, other avionics interferring, magnets in
antenna , etc., etc., .....
Been solid ..
luv it!

Just thought I'd update the group. Some months ago, I asked for folks
to give me their opinions on the Lowrance Airmap 2000c.
I have an Airmap 2000 and have had much the same experience.

Airmap 2000 sounds great, although I'd still love to see a 'side-by-
side' against the EKP-IV.
My father and I scrubbed our Anchorage trip for this year (after
reading, we realized we need closer to a month to do it right, and he
retires next spring, so next year it is), so no GPS yet, but those two
are still the primary contenders.
