3 clicks will give you low intensity, 5 clicks medium, and 7 clicks high
intensity.

However, some airports only use a subset of these settings. In the US, the
A/FD will typically spell out the non-standard pilot activated lighting
sequences needed to get the lights on.

Oh, and be awa Some airports provide pilot controlled lighting on a
different frequency than CTAF. Again, the A/FD will include this info.
