TAKE HOME AN LSA, FOR UNDER $50K ... for sale as a
Special-LSA at $49,995,

A $49,995 LSA does not cost *LESS THAN* $50,000. For all practical
purposes, $49,995 *IS* $50,000. By the time you pay taxes, registration,
transportation etc, etc, etc, you will be paying well north of $50,000 even if
you can resist adding options.

I believe the point of the AvWeb story was that, while LSA aircraft
were expected to be affordable (inexpensive), most seem to priced
around $100k; compared to a used C-152 that's not very reasonably
priced. The Sport Hornet seems to have set a low-price benchmark in
the LSA market.

This type of appeal assumes that the potential customer is an idiot. As a
potential customer, I find that insulting.
