You are comparing apples to if not quite oranges, at least very old
slowly decaying apples.
Buying a brand new LSA with a modern design is more expensive than
buying a used C152 that was designed 30 years ago, itself a
modernization of an aircraft design which is now FIFTY years old (1957
= first flight of C150, infact in 3 days it will be exactly 50 years,
September 12).
Either compare it to buying a brand new C152 (ie the new Cessna LSA)
or a 30 year old LSA (ie something not to dissimilar to a 30 year old
C152 actually) and it might make more sense.
