"Towards the Unknow". I believe it was also James Garner's first movie. He
played the pilot of the ill-fated XF-120. The last I heard, it was caught up
in some legal problems, and has never been released on tape or disc.

IIRC this a/c appeared in an old movie, "Test Pilot" if memory serves. It
was called the Gilbert X-20 or some such thing and the hero had problems
with the skin wrinkling up in 4 - G turns. Does anybody else remember
the movie, or what the correct name was?
