Default Garmin 496 VNAV question

wrote:
1. Are glide-slop informations of LPV & LNAV/VNAV in 496's database?

2. If yes, can VNAV indicators on 496's HSI display this glide-slop
when flying approaches?

Thanks,

Robin

No, I believe the only glide slope is a synthesized vertical descent
profile that is based solely on your GPS altitude and GPS distance from
your target, and I think that is the glide path to 1000' AGL at that.
Furthermore, you can program your desired descent profile to be
something other than the default 500 FPM. The 496 is not intended for
IFR operations, why even the start-up statement says as much.
