Default Garmin 496 VNAV question

wrote:
1. Are glide-slop informations of LPV & LNAV/VNAV in 496's database?

2. If yes, can VNAV indicators on 496's HSI display this glide-slop
when flying approaches?

Thanks,

Robin

Answer to #1 is a big no. Lots of complex stuff goes on inside an IFR
WAAAS box to create those glidepaths and, in particular, the LPV path.
The handhelds, not being IFR certified, do not have any of those
capabilities. The VNAV feature in those boxes bears no relationship to
IFR procedures.
